About Us

Te Puke Medical Centre has been caring for our community for over 100 years. Originally established in Jellicoe Street,  the practice moved to Queen Street in 1992 into modern, comfortable purpose built premises that are equipped to a high standard and is fully computerised.

Our practice is well located in the business area – centrally placed but away from the congestion of the main street with plenty of parking available in close vicinity.

Within a short distance we have Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Dental, Pathlab, Osteopath services and Plunket Rooms.

We have 11 Doctors – not all full time – (4 male and 7 female);  6 nurses who job share plus 2 relieving nurses and 7 administration staff.
We are a dedicated team of skilled professionals working in a warm and friendly family environment providing our patients with high quality healthcare.

Our ongoing commitment to improvements in the quality of care to our patients is reflected in our Cornerstone Accreditation awarded by the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP)

Te Puke Medical Centre is a member of the Western Bay of Plenty Primary Health Organisation (WBOPPHO), a team of health providers  looking after the health needs of those enrolled with the PHO  accessing government subsidies on their behalf.

We welcome new patients and new families moving to the area to enrol with our practice, and we are currently accepting new patients.
